Dry Brushing

A technique using almost-dry paint to highlight raised details and edges.

Full Definition

Dry brushing involves loading a brush with paint, wiping most of it off, then lightly dragging the brush across a surface. Paint catches only on raised areas, highlighting edges and details. It's excellent for simulating dust, wear on edges, and general fading.
