Wireless Throttle Setup
Control your trains from your smartphone using WiThrottle (iOS) or Engine Driver (Android).
Requirements
- DCC system with WiThrottle server:
- JMRI on computer with WiFi
- Digitrax LNWI adapter
- DCC-EX with WiFi
- MRC WiFi module
- NCE WiFi adapter
WiThrottle (iOS)
Initial Setup
- Download from App Store
- Connect phone to layout WiFi
- App discovers server automatically
- Select your command station
Using WiThrottle
- Select locomotive by address
- Use slider for speed
- Tap function buttons
- Swipe to change direction
Engine Driver (Android)
Initial Setup
- Download from Play Store
- Connect to layout WiFi network
- Enter server address (or auto-discover)
- Connect

JMRI Configuration
To enable WiThrottle server:
- Open JMRI PanelPro or DecoderPro
- Actions → Start WiThrottle Server
- Note the IP address displayed
- Connect apps to this address
Troubleshooting
Can't connect?
- Verify same WiFi network
- Check firewall settings
- Confirm server is running
- Try manual IP entry
Lag or disconnects?
- Reduce WiFi interference
- Use 5GHz if available
- Position router centrally
