Track sections that can be bent to form curves of various radii, offering layout design flexibility.
Flex track consists of long sections (typically 36 inches or 1 meter) of track that can be bent to create curves of any radius. This offers far more design flexibility than sectional track with fixed radii. Flex track is preferred by experienced modelers for creating smooth, prototypical curves. PECO, Atlas, and Micro Engineering are leading flex track manufacturers.
Pre-formed track pieces in standard lengths and curves that snap together for easy layout building.
A measurement indicating rail height in thousandths of an inch (e.g., Code 83 = 0.083 inches tall).
Small metal connectors that join rail ends together, providing mechanical and electrical connection.
