Wire current-sensing detectors to indicate block occupancy for signals and panels.
Isolate the detection block with insulated joiners on ONE rail
Connect the detector in series with the isolated rail section
Connect the detector to your DCC bus
Connect the detector output to an LED or signal system
Test with a locomotive - any current draw should trigger detection
Always disconnect power before working on wiring. Double-check all connections before applying power. When in doubt, use a multimeter to verify your work.
