Wiring Steps

   Mount the Tortoise below the turnout, aligning the actuator wire with the throwbar

2. 2

   Connect power supply to terminals 1 and 8

3. 3

   Connect your control switch between terminals 1 and 8 (center to power)

4. 4

   For LEDs: terminals 2 and 3 provide position-indicating contacts

5. 5

   Adjust the actuator wire length for proper throw

6. 6

   Test operation - movement should be smooth and complete

Tips for Success

• The Tortoise has internal over-travel - no damage from running to end
• Use auxiliary contacts (terminals 2-7) for signals and routing
• Multiple Tortoises can share one power supply
• Stall current is low - no need for capacitor discharge
